Iowa Senator Charles Grassley is running for his eighth term in the U.S. Senate this year, and former U.S. Navy Admiral Mike Franken is opposing him. One of the main issues that Sen. Grassley has focused on in his re-election bid is his efforts to try and reduce prescription drug prices for Americans.

Grassley talked with KCII about the bi-partisan bill that he is a part of and what the goal of this bill ultimately is. “This bipartisan bill that I’ve been pushing for the last 18 months or so would limit year over year increases in drugs to no more than the CPI (Consumer Price Index), as opposed to drugs being raised a couple of times per year by as much as 5-10%.”
