Access Energy Cooperative recently welcomed back members to their annual meeting of members at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant, after two years of the event being held online.

Highlights of the event included a performance by the band “The Boys”, meal served by Mount Pleasant Hy-Vee, and homemade ice cream from Hinterland Dairy of Donnellson.

Activities for the kids included pony rides and a demonstration on being safe around electricity. 

Following reports of the cooperative officers, election results were reported as President Marvin Newton, Vice President Marvin Larson, Secretary Robert Chestnut and Treasurer David Hollingsworth were elected as directors to serve three-year terms on the nine-person board. 

Dividend checks for 2022 totaling $1,224,133 were available for members to pick up at the meeting. For those who were unable to attend the meeting, your check will be mailed out in the next few weeks.
