At the August 2nd City Council meeting, the council approved a goal-setting session for October 11th before the regularly scheduled city council meeting. This meeting will bring in an outside consultant to overview the council’s current goals and other goals they are considering for the future.
Washington Mayor Jaron Rosien talked with KCII about what will be discussed during this meeting. “There was a comprehensive plan that was done in 2012, and a lot of our current goals are tied up in that plan. Some are already accomplished, and some are in the process of being accomplished. Our current infrastructure plan and other big picture plan items will be discussed as well.”
Mayor Rosien notes that sometimes council members get focused on one thing and that this meeting will be a way to make sure that everybody is on the same page. The next City Council meeting will be on Tuesday, August 16th at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Contact the City Clerk’s Office for a virtual link for the next council meeting.
