After taking two years off due to the pandemic, the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association brought back the all star series this summer with a couple area players being a part of the victorious small schools east team.
The four team round robin series in Mason City on July 29th-31st featured Sigourney’s Levi Crawford and Keota’s Colten Clarahan on the small schools east team and they were coached by Levi’s father, Lee Crawford. After dropping their first game to the large east team 9-4, they bounced back to upend small schools west by an exciting 1-0 count and then dominated large schools west 10-3 for the series victory. In the 1-0 win, Crawford came around to score the walk off run. Clarahan was named a Gary and Sandy Nyhus Scholarship Award recipient.
The all star series is made up of some of the top senior talent in the entire state.
