Two KCII area rivals will take the court at Hillcrest Union in Kalona Thursday when the Hillcrest Academy Ravens entertain the WACO Warriors in a Southeast Iowa Superconference volleyball contest. Hillcrest enters play with a 1-5 record after dropping three matches in a quad Tuesday to North Linn, Alburnett and Hudson. On the season, the Ravens are led by Malia Yoder with 28 digs. Claire Withrow with 26 assists and Niva Helmuth with 20 kills. WACO is 3-0 this year with wins over Centerville, Columbus and Louisa-Muscatine at their home tournament in Wayland. The Warriors are led by Grace Coble with 38 assists. Jocelyn Fulton has 32 digs and Coble and Ellah Kissell each have 16 kills. Hillcrest has won nine of the last 13 meetings in the series and two schools have split their last six matches. Action starts tonight at 6:30 in Kalona.
