Riverview Country Club in Keosauqua hosted several Southeast Iowa cross country teams for an invite on Tuesday including Winfield-Mt. Union with the boys taking second place. 

The WMU boys placed second out of five in the A division with 44 points, only behind Mediapolis with 31. Gabe Hemsworth nabbed fourth out of 42 runners clocking in at 18:14 and Kohlby Newsom was sixth in 18:23. Bowen Thomson cracked the top 10 in 10th (20:07), Jacob Haines was 11th (20:29), and Ty Scorpil recorded 13th (20:59). The girls placed third in their division with 68 points and Mediapolis swept the team titles with 27. Afton Wilkerson led the Wolves in 12th (27:46) and Maggie Hutton was 16th (30:11). Other scored results included Karilyn Titus 17th (30:28), Olivia Martinez 21st (33:32), and Emma Richardson 22nd (33:34). 

WMU is back at it today in Fairfield at Waterworks Park.
