The Highland Huskies will celebrate their homecoming this week.
The Huskies will start the celebration with dress-up days including jersey day Monday, bikers vs surfers Tuesday, USA day Wednesday, Celebrity day Thursday, and Husky day Friday.
Highland will hold their Homecoming Boom Night on Wednesday at the Ainsworth Ball Field. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m., with a line-up starting at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Ainsworth. The parade will begin on North Railroad Street, proceed to Red Ball, and end at the ball fields. At 5:30 p.m., two food trucks will serve attendees at the ball field: Box Lunch Food Truck, which serves cheeseburgers, hot dogs, french fries, wraps, and more. Then there’s DeLovely Delicious Mini Donuts, which serves up sweet treats.
Highland’s Homecoming King and Queen will also be announced on Boom Night; the homecoming court includes Logan Bonebrake, Ethan Simpson, Carlos Valenzuela, Peyton Yeggy, Kate Hartzler, Jessica Kraus, Abbie Stransky, and Katelyn Waters.
The Highland Huskies will take on the Alburnett Pirates with kickoff at 7:00pm.
After the football game, a semi-formal homecoming dance will be held until midnight for $5 per person.
