The town of Wellman hosted its first ever Craft & Vendor Fair Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17. Located at the Wellman City Hall, the event offered delicious foods and drinks, along with beautiful crafts for all patrons.

Sandra Klopp, a Wellman native, organized the event in an effort to help give the town some exposure. “We needed something more,” said Klopp, who spent over 3 months planning the fair. With the help of City Hall employees, she was able to provide a fun-filled weekend for the town she loves.

Vendors came from all over the surrounding area, with some traveling over an hour to participate in the fair. Notable vendors included Old Man’s Creek Winery, Country Cookin, and the Best of Iowa Cupcake Camper.

Klopp would like to thank the Wellman City Hall employees for all of their help in putting on this event. Despite a rainy Saturday, Klopp said the event was a major success as long as patrons enjoyed themselves, adding, “I’m just happy with everyone being happy.”
