The Iowa Association of Track Coaches released their week six cross country rankings and a pair of KCII area schools remain in the poll. The Washington Demons continue their climb in Class 3A. The Demon boys are No. 12 in the team standings this week, after spending last week at No. 13. Washington has one ranked runner in their lineup with Micah Rees cracking the top 10 this week at No. 10, up a spot from a week ago. The Demon girls are also up one spot in the team poll, from 12th to 11th in 3A. Iris Dahl is the lone ranked runner in their lineup, checking in at No. 15 for the second straight week. Both Demon squads were team champs at their home meet earlier this week with Rees winning the individual boys title and Dahl finishing as runner-up.

In Class 2A, the Mid-Prairie girls remain at No. 2. They have a pair of ranked runners in their lineup with Danielle Hostetler in the top spot in 2A and Abby Fleming at No. 12. The Golden Hawk boys are No. 12 in 2A this week with Emmett Swartzentruber at No. 11 in the individual poll. Mid-Prairie had the individual boys and girls champions at the Creek Classic in Iowa City earlier this week with Hostetler and Swartzentruber winning gold. The Golden Hawk girls were team champs, the boys were runners-up.
