The Clear Creek Amana Invitational field awaits the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team Saturday for tournament action. The Hawks come into play with a 17-6 overall record, 5-1 in the River Valley Conference, and winners of 10 of their last 11 matches, including a sweep of Iowa City Regina on the Regal’s Senior Night Thursday. Mid-Prairie is ranked No. 11 in Class 3A in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. For the year, the Hawks are led by sophomore Dakota Mitchell with 373 digs, third most in Class 3A. Senior Landry Pacha has 247 assists, seventh in the RVC,165 kills, sixth in conference and 27 aces, seventh in the River Valley. Freshman Jovi Evans has posted 204 assists, eighth in the league, and 114 kills. Senior Ella Groenewold leads the RVC at the net with 58 blocks. Joining Mid-Prairie today are Central DeWitt, Iowa Valley, No. 2 in Class 4A North Scott, No. 5 in Class 3A Union La Porte City and the No. 10 in Class 4A Clippers. Action continues all day Saturday in Tiffin.
