The Highland football team closed the home portion of their schedule Friday night with a 48-8 loss to the visiting Lisbon Lions. Lisbon led 14-0 after the first quarter and 42-0 at the break. Trailing 48-0 going to the final frame, the Huskies got on the board with a touchdown and two in the last period. The Huskies were outgained 292 to 119 in total yards including 102 to 0 through the air. Sage Hartley-Norman led the Highland offense with a 14 carry 61 yard night on the ground, scoring the Huskies lone touchdown on a 40 yard run. He was 0 of 10 through the air and picked off four times. Colten Sypherd converted the Highland two pointer. Peyton Yeggy had a team high six tackles, and the Huskies forced two turnovers with Jack Peiffer and Jackson Keller each recovering a fumble. With the loss, the Huskies fall to 0-7 with a trip to Pekin for the Panthers Senior Night to wrap up the regular season this week.
