There is still time to participate in the Warm-Up Washington clothing drive before it ends on Wednesday, October 19th. Warm-Up Washington is a cooperative partnership between the Washington YMCA, the Washington Public Library, and Farm Bureau Financial Insurance Services, The Ann C. Williams Agency, to help gather winter clothing for needy families.

Washington Public Library Director Cary Ann Siegfried talked with KCII Radio about how community members can participate. “So, community members can drop off new or their very gently used winter wear at the library, Farm Bureau Financial Services, or the YMCA anytime up until October 19th. We will then start the distribution process at the library from October 25th through the 29th.

Items that will be accepted for the clothing drive include coats, jackets, hats, gloves, and scarves. Donations can be dropped off at any of the locations during regular business hours.
