The Sigourney Community School District was named the Future Ready Spotlight winner this month.

The Future Ready Program explores how schools can continuously improve their graduates’ lives after they leave school by developing and providing specific resources and life skills.

They were recognized after they began to develop what they call “Portrait of a Sigourney CSD Graduate.” The process establishes a comprehensive strategy for the district and community to collaborate in redesigning the educational experience for all their students.

The Sigourney schools and community design team have finalized the first three phases of the project with a completed portrait expected in early spring.
