The Washington Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Hotel Motel Committee, the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and the Iowa Finance Authority partnered up for a grand reveal ribbon-cutting ceremony for Washington’s new downtown mural on Wednesday.

The ceremony was held outside the H&R Block Building in Washington and featured speeches from Chamber Executive Director Michelle Redlinger, Mural Artist Ben Schuh, Washington Mayor Jaren Rosien, former Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt, and Isabella Santoro.

During his speech, Schuh noted how impressed he was by Washington’s commitment to the #IowansUNITE CommUNITY Contest.
