The Iowa Department of Education released the results of their online school accountability reporting system called the Iowa School Performance Profiles. This is the first year since 2019 that new schools are being identified for additional support to meet the requirements of the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
Washington High School scored an overall grade of acceptable, scoring 54.69 points out of a possible 100. Washington High School scored average across the board in terms of participation and average achievement in mathematics, language arts, and learning environment. Washington High School scored below average for students testing at proficient and above levels for language arts and mathematics but scored average on the post-secondary readiness index, which tests for students’ participation and scores for college entrance exams.
Washington scored slightly below average for its four-year graduation rate and above average for its five-year graduation rate. A link to Washington’s scoresheet can be found at the bottom of the article.
