The Okee Dokee Brothers wrapped up the second Washington Performing Arts Series show of the year earlier this month. The next show for the Washington Performing Arts Series will be Sunday, February 19th, and will feature Parallel Exit, a three-person vaudeville company.

The company has been performing together since 1997, mixing song & dance with slapstick physical comedy to produce a family-friendly show. Bob Youngquist, an organizer for the Washington Performing Arts Series, talked with KCII about the unique show this company can provide.

“It’s rather interesting, especially for kids that have no idea what we did for entertainment before TV and Radio. So, this will be an old-time vaudeville show which we feel like will be a lot of fun for the audience. There will be a lot of comedy, some dancing, and magic as well, so there are all types of entertainment that this little group puts on for the audience. It should be quite an experience and will be a peek back into the entertainment of yesteryear.”

Tickets are available online through the Washington Auditorium’s website, and a complete schedule of events can also be found online.
