There is a new Dog Park on the East side of  Washington courtesy of the Washington Parks and Recreation. KCII News met with City Parks Director Nick Pacha to learn more. “And then we did add recently add an East Side Dog Park. So there’s a nice dog park here in Sunset Park on the West end of town, but there was demand over on the East side of town over by the Case Field and Redlinger Field and the new Pickleball courts over there. So, it’s kind of a smaller park, and we are going to build that out as the budget allows and build some amenities there.  But it does have water over there, fully enclosed. Future plans include maybe a small shade structure pavilion over there. You know, a picnic table for folks to sit on when their dog is out running around. But it’s kind of right by the ball fields and the little play area over there, so, nice little amenity, and it was fairly easy and cheap to construct.” While Pacha talks about future improvements and additional amenities, the Park is open now for public use.
