Three area girls wrestling teams travel to Williamsburg Monday for tournament action. The Washington Demons were last on the mat November 29th against Iowa Valley, Highland and HLV. Teegan Sulentich split a pair of matches, scoring a fall over Raelene Hawks of Iowa Valley in 1:22. Zoe Lewis, Peggy Miller and Jenna Bose also competed.

The Hawks wrestled at the BGM Round Robin Friday where Ellie Brenneman carried the black and gold to the top of the podium in the girls 10 bracket, pinning her way to the title including a finals fall over Lillie Jones of Colfax-Mingo in just 34 seconds. The Hawks had five runners-up in Brooklyn including Gabi Robertson, Kenda Shqair, Ashlee Farrier, Mia Garvey and Ellie Callahan.

The Warriors have been off since November 21st at West Liberty. They were led by Grace Fort winning the title at 190 and Bralyyn Waglers championship at 235 that included a 2-0 day and championship fall over Montana Boline of Wapello.

Joining Washington, Mid-Prairie and WACO in Williamsburg Monday are Anamosa, Benton, BGM, Center Point-Urbana, Centerville, Central DeWitt, Clear Creek-Amana, Colfax-Mingo, English Valleys, Fort Madison, Independence, Iowa City Liberty, Iowa Valley, Linn-Mar, Marion, Midland, Mount Pleasant, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Solon, South Tama, Vinton-Shellsburg, Wapello, West Liberty and the home Raiders. Action starts at 4p.m. And continues into the evening in Williamsburg.
