The Jefferson County Board Of Supervisors met on Monday, December 5. After approving the minutes from the last two meetings, the board met with County Engineer DeWayne Heintz.
Heintz provided updates on the overlay project for sections of 218th Boulevard which runs through Lockridge. Crews have been working on the shoulder to improve water drainage conditions of the road. Heintz added that in his monthly staff meeting, crews reviewed snow plowing safety in preparation for winter weather.
The board discussed revisions to and approved their 2023 County Five Year Program, which includes maintenance to various farm-to-market routes in the county, as well as a shoulder project in Libertyville.
A bid was approved for $1,002.66 to fix the north flood lights on the clock tower and lighting at the courthouse entrances. Live Wire Electric out of Fairfield will handle these repairs. Plans will also move forward to make improvements to the county website.
The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors next meeting will be on Monday, December 12 at 8:30 a.m. in the County Courthouse.
