The WACO Warriors brought home six medals and finished seventh as a team at a wrestling tournament at Tri-County Saturday. Leading the way for WACO was sophomore Louden Huisenga, who won the tournament title at 160 pounds with two pins and a 7-0 decision victory. Senior Drew Diers finished fifth at 220 lbs, bouncing back from getting pinnned in his first bout to pin his other opponent. Junior John Mclaughlin did the same at 126, while sophomore Braden Stafford dropped his only bout in a 12-6 decision to finish fifth at 170. Junior Jonathan Heather was sixth at 285 after losing two of his three bouts, while freshman Levi Bachman was pinned in both of his matchups and finished sixth at 126.

The Lone Tree Lions also wrestled at Tri-County and finished ninth as a team. Freshman Carter Schott was third at 106 lbs after splitting a pair, while sophomore Clemens Swaink was sxith at 126. While Lone Tree will go to Pekin Thursday, WACO will next wrestle at Louisa-Muscatine.
