The Mid-Prairie School Board met in regular session on Monday for their final meeting of the semester, and the year.
Students from the Mid-Prairie FFA presented their highlights from the National Convention trip to Indianapolis. They discussed the impact that the program has had on their leadership skills and the opportunities that the trip afforded them.
The board is in the process of sending a Request for Qualifications document to multiple architectural firms as conversations continue on the facility planning. In the work session, a timeline was laid out which includes narrowing the search to three or four finalists by January 9, and interviewing the firms on January 18. According to Superintendent Brian Stone, once a firm is selected, “They will help facilitate moving through organization of a facilities task force. They will help provide additional education to community members as we move through the process”.
The board then entered a closed session, discussing the purchase or sale of particular real estate.
The Mid-Prairie Board of Education’s next meeting will be on Monday, January 9 at 6:15 p.m. in the Central Office Community Room.
