The Washington Community School Board met last week in a regular session. On the agenda was the election of the Board President and Vice President. Troy Suchan was elected as School Board President, and Mike Liska was elected as Vice President. “It’s been moved and seconded that Troy Suchan be board president for this next school year. Any discussion?  All those in favor signify by saying I. I. Opposed? It’s been moved and seconded that Mike Liska will be the Vice President of the School Board for the coming year. All those in favor signify by saying I. I.” The Washington Community School Board is entrusted with public funds and is responsible for overseeing the improvement of student outcomes, including student academic achievement and skill proficiency. The term for President and Vice President is one year.
