The offense for the Hillcrest Academy Raven boys basketball team in the first half of the season was a well oiled machine. Hillcrest ranked No. 5 in Class 1A, shooting 36.7% from long range. Sophomore Seth Ours is the top Raven marksman from distance, knocking down 52.2% of his threes, 10th best in the state. His total of 25 triples ranks him fifth in 1A. Senior Jace Rempel has connected at 35.7%, hitting 10 threes and fellow senior Luke Schrock has hit five long balls. Eight different Ravens have hit a three this season.

Hillcrest is also shooting a red hot 49.1% from the floor as a team, ninth in Class 1A. Five Ravens are shooting 50% or better, led by senior Grant Bender at a team high 58.3% from the field, leading to his Hillcrest leading 127 points so far this year. Other Ravens above the 50% mark include freshman Rowan Miller at 55%, senior Luke Schrock at 53%, sophomore Seth Ours at 52% and sophomore Phoenix Anderson 50%.

Hillcrest and their high flying offense will next be in action Tuesday as part of a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader at Winfield-Mt. Union against the Wolves.
