On December 27, the Washington County Riverboat Foundation announced their 2022 4th quarter city grants through its Municipal Grant program. Riverside and Ainsworth were two of the eight cities in southeast Iowa benefiting from the program.

The City of Riverside was granted $20,172.03, while Ainsworth will receive $8,289.87. Since 2006, WCRF has given over $1 million to Riverside, and over $558,000 to Ainsworth. Funds are programmed by each City Council.

WCRF is the nonprofit license holder for the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, which provides all of its funding. Through their Municipal Grant program, they distribute 25% of their total revenues directly to the cities in Washington County based on population. Since 2006, WCRF has granted $14,107,150.92 in Total Municipal Grants.
