The Washington Chamber is hosting a new event, Educator’s Night Out, on January 18th, and with that event is a soup competition. The Chamber is looking for the best soup cooks in town to enter the competition for a chance to win $100 for first prize, $50 for second, and $25 for third. All you need to do to be entered into the competition is provide a large crockpot or roasting pan of soup. Soups must be delivered to the KC Hall (606 W 3rd St) by 3:45 p.m. on the 18th; the entry is kept confidential. Business Sponsors will taste test and judge soups from 4 – 4:30 p.m. The winner will be announced at 5 p.m. Ladles, tasting cups, and napkins will be provided for you. The cook-off will take place simultaneously with the School Supply Expo. Appetizers, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks are provided. If you have questions or would like more information, you can contact Michelle Redlinger at the Washington Chamber Office.
