Three Washington middle school students auditioned for the Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor band (SEIBA) in Fairfield on Saturday.  Seventh graders Katy Galyon  (flute) and Robert Altheide  (bass clarinet) & 8th grader Jaedyn Moore (trumpet) all auditioned. Altheide was selected for the JH/MS Mortiboy Honor Band. The SEIBA district encompasses 17 counties in southeast Iowa. Students selected will participate in a day of rehearsal that will end in a concert on the campus of the University of Iowa on January 21 at the Iowa Voxman Building, with a concert to be held in the 700-seat concert hall.
