Candidates for the City of Washington Ward Two special election met with the public Monday night. The Candidates are Jennine Wolf, Ivan Rangel, and Richard Conrad. The event was scheduled in order to gain more information about the candidates and allow the public, as well as the City Council, to ask some questions. The City Council had a list of questions for the candidates, and the first half of the forum was question and answer from that list. The second half of the event was questions from the public and the answer from each respective candidate. Each candidate was allowed one minute at the end of the forum for closing remarks. The special election for Ward 2 is set for Tuesday, February 14th. The polling place is the First Assembly of God Church, 1602 E. Washington Street in Washington. Absentee voting continues through Monday, February 13th during business hours in the Auditor’s Office at the Washington County Courthouse.
