The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams entertain the Tipton Tigers Tuesday at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman for a River Valley Conference doubleheader. The Golden Hawk girls are 14-5, 8-2 in the RVC, winners of nine straight and 12 of their last 13 after a 55-40 rivalry win over Washington Monday. This year, Mid-Prairie is scoring 54 points per game and giving up 42, shooting 37% from the floor, 28% from three and 61% at the line with 35 boards, 12 assists, 13 steals and 16 turnovers. Individually, Landry Pacha and Amara Jones are each scoring 10 per game with Pacha pulling in eight boards and Jones dishing out five assists and grabbing four steals to lead the way.

Tipton is 6-13 on the season and 3-11 in conference play. The Tigers were a 57-46 winner over Durant Friday. The Tigers average 43 points per game and give up 51, shooting 41% from the field, 34% from three and 53% at the line with 29 rebounds, 11 assists, nine steals and 23 turnovers per night. Individual leaders include Kyra Shaull with 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks per night. Carly Langenberg leads the guard court with four assists and three steals per night. Mid-Prairie rolled to a 76-43 win at Tipton two weeks ago.

The Golden Hawk boys are 10-8 overall and 6-4 in the River Valley after a rivalry game loss to Washington Monday in Wellman 75-53. For the season, the Hawks are scoring 60 per game and giving up 59, shooting 38% from the floor, 29% from three and 70% at the line with 32 rebounds, 12 assists, eight steals and 12 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include Camron Pickard with 15 points and four assists per game. Shawn Dodds averages four boards per game Alex Bean two steals per night.

Tipton is 6-12 on the season and 2-8 in conference after a 51-47 win over Durant Friday. They score 52 points per game and give up 62, shooting 42% overall, 32% from three and 58% at the line with 27 rebounds, nine assists, nine steals and 20 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include Preston Daedlow with 13 points, Ty Nichols with three steals two assists and Davis Webb with four rebounds per night. These two met two weeks ago in Tipton as the Hawks escaped with a 57-52 win.
