The IHSAA Wrestling State Championships begin Wednesday in Des Moines, and the KCII listening area is sending many talented athletes to take part. 

The Washington Demons had state qualifiers at their home district meet. District champions included Aaron Boone and Curtis Stender, along with runners-up Caden and Chase Greiner. 

Mid Prairie will be represented by district runner-up Terry Bordenave. 

Highland champ is sending three two Des Moines, including district champ Carlos Valenzuela and runners-up Luke Guseman and Jack Peiffer.

WACO has three heading to state with Gage Samo and Louden Huisenga qualifying as champions with runner-up Drew Diers.

Sigourney Keota is sending six on to state from their home district meet including champions Brady Clark, Reid Molyneux and Jack Clarahan with runners-up Reanah Utterback, Dan McLaughlin, and Jake Moore also advancing. 

Columbus/WMU will have five at state this week including district champion Dante Zuniga and runners-up Triston Miller, Cole Storm, Kai Malone and Russel Coil.
