Join the Washington Public Library for a presentation by Tami Finley on apron history, apron trivia, and more this Saturday, beginning at 10 am. Finley spent her 40-year career as a public librarian in Iowa and Illinois. During her tenure, she discovered a niche for programming about vintage aprons, and the Art of The Apron was launched in June of 2019. Finley has a collection of over two hundred aprons and brings their art and history to her programs, along with anecdotal stories. Aprons conjure up many memories, and attendees are encouraged to bring an apron and share their own stories.
