The Mid-Prairie School District is reaching out to the community as they continue planning facility improvements. A survey was released by the district requesting information on future facility work and the bond that was voted on nearly one year ago.

The bond would have allowed the district to levy additional property taxes in order to repay a loan that would cover renovations and additions in its buildings. While it received approval from more than 50% of voters, the special election required a super majority of 60% and did not pass.

Participants of the survey are asked if they voted in the March 2022 special election, if they supported the bond, and their reasoning as to why or why not. The survey also encourages community members to share their perceived priorities for the district’s facilities moving forward.

Mid-Prairie Community School District has begun to proceed with several projects in the last year, including renovations to the Middle School and East Elementary School, lighting at the softball diamond, and replacing the High School track. Further projects will require another bond vote, prompting the request of community feedback.

The survey closes on March 10, and can be accessed on the Mid-Prairie website or by clicking here.
