The Washington Public Library has plans underway to finish out 3,000 square feet of space in the Library’s lower level to create a community makerspace. When creating a community makerspace the options are nearly endless. Makerspaces are as different as the communities they serve, but since the Washington space is finite. The Library wants to make sure they’re choosing activities, equipment, and technology that are the best options for the community.
