Last Friday, Governor Kim Reynolds announced the appointments to Iowa’s Boards & Commissions, with many area residents being named.

In Washington County, Jack Seward was appointed to the Mental Health & Disability Services Commission.

Henry County saw two appointees last week. Jay Nelson was appointed to the Board of Corrections, while Dave Heaton will join the Commission of Aging.

Three appointees were named from Jefferson County. They include Timothy Bower to the Board of Educational Examiners, Nate Weaton to the Finance Authority Board, and Dee Sandquist to the Justice Advisory Board.

Johnson County Sheriff Brad Kunkel was appointed to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Council. He joins 12 other Johnson County residents who were named to their respective boards and commissions last week.
