Two accomplished Mid-Prairie girls basketball players finished their careers with numbers among the best in Golden Hawk history.
Senior Amara Jones final campaign included 101 assists, 10th most in Class 3A this year, second most in a single year in Mid-Prairie history, behind only Sarah Larson, class of 2002’s 174. Jones is also second on the career helpers list with 324, trailing only Larson’s 441. She ended the season with 96 steals, fourth in Class 3A, giving her 308 for her career, behind only Larson’s 346. Jones knocked down 87 threes during her time for the black and gold, second most in school history, behind only class of 2021’s Myah Lugar with a school record 157.
Mid-Prairie senior Landry Pacha put up one of the top performances on the glass in a single game in school history. her 17 rebounds in a win at No. 13 West Liberty January 20th, where she also hit the game winning free throws in the final five seconds, are second most in school history behind only Class of 2004’s Jessie Kleinschmidt who had a game with 19.
Mid-Prairie ended the year with a 16-7 overall record.
