Red Cedar Chamber Music will be performing at the Ainsworth Opera House on Friday, March 24th. Directors and core ensemble include violinist Miera Kim and cellist Carey Bostian with accompaniment from violinist Alex Norris and violist Donghee Han in a program of string quartet music by composer–in–residence Michael Kimber. This program asks the question: Where do the arts and science meet? It explores the development of western music from the earliest recorded history, its relationship to visual art and architecture, the physics of sound, and the natural principles which have governed the development of instruments and music over thousands of years. This multimedia concert will feature music by Michael Kimber with narration and projected images. Tickets for this event are $25 and include a meal that begins at 6 pm.
