Golden Hawk guard Camron Pickard continues to receive recognition for his work on the court during the recently completed basketball season. The Mid-Prairie senior was named All-Substate in Class 2A by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association.

Pickard was a first team All-River Valley Conference selection. He led the Golden Hawks with 364 points this season, fifth most in the River Valley. Pickard shot 40% from the floor, 35% from downtown, hitting 52 threes, fourth in the RVC. His 82 assists were also best on the team and fourth in the league. He added 44 steals, sixth in conference, and 58 rebounds.

He was joined on the 2A Substate 6 team by Brady Martin and Mason Watkins of West Burlington, Caden Kirkman and Landyn Putman of Wilton, Drew Chance of Albia, Louisa-Muscatine’s Ty Northup and Tyson DeVries of Pella Christian. Ryan O’Hern of West Burlington was named Coach of the Year.

The Golden Hawks ended the season with a 12-11 record.
