It was a big night in Dubuque for the Mid-Prairie girls and boys track teams at the River Valley Conference Indoor Championship meet Tuesday.

The Golden Hawk girls brought home the RVC team title with their score of 118.50, hammering second place Tipton with 73.50. The Hawks had seven event championships on the night including double individual gold for Tabitha Evans who won the 200m in 26.56 seconds and the 400 in 1:01.58. Danielle Hostetler also grabbed a pair of individual titles, winning the 800 in 2:24.98 and the 1500 in 4:56.54. Ella Groenewold was an individual winner in the high jump, clearing 5’2″. The other event titles came in relays. In the 4×200, Tabitha Evans teamed up with Madeline Schrader, Amara Jones and Jovi Evans to beat the field in 1:51.28, while the Golden Hawk sprint medley team of Dakota Mitchell, Lanee Duwa, Jovi Evans and Greta Sieren were best in the RVC with their time of 4:29.91. Other top girls finishes included Jovi Evans 2nd in the 55m dash and Dakota Mitchell 9th in the same event. Emma Lueck 2nd in the long jump and Sophia Schwartz 9th, Abby Fleming 3rd in the 1500 and Phoebe Shetler 7th, Amara Jones 3rd in the 55m hurdles and Ashlee Farrier 10th, 4th for Harper Pacha in the shot put and 6th for Ashley Harmsen in the same event and 8th for Jovi Evans in the high jump. In relays, the 4×800 team of Danielle Hostetler, Abby Fleming, Phoebe Shetler and Greta Sieren was 3rd, and the 4×400 team of Greta Sieren, Annika Poll, Tabitha Evans and Lanee Duwa was 5th.

The Golden Hawk boys were 4th in the team race with their score of 53 points. Anamosa won conference with 101 points. Mid-Prairie saw Cain Brown win the RVC title in the high jump clearing 6’4″. Other top performances included Cain Brown runner-up in the long jump with Landon Sullivan 5th and Hudson Ehrenfelt 9th in the same event. Emmett Swartzentruber was 3rd in the 1600 with Preston Yutzy 8th, Jack Zahradnek was 5th in shot put, Kaden Meader was 5th in 55m hurdles, Shaun Dodds was 6th in high jump, Cain Brown was 7th in the 55m dash and Thomas Flynn 9th in the 800. In relay events, the sprint medley team of Landon Sullivan, Landry Gingerich, Kaden Meader and Jayse Yoder were 3rd with the 4×800 team of Emmett Swartzentruber, Preston Yutzy, Jayse Yoder and Thomas Flynn 4th.

The Golden Hawks open the outdoor season March 30th at Mount Pleasant.
