Due to inclement weather last Saturday, the Community Easter Egg-stravaganza hosted by Addington Place of Mount Pleasant has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 2. The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. with the Easter egg hunt set to begin at 12:30.
Community Relations Coordinator for Addington Place, Cody Flietner, describes some of this year’s festivities. “We have stuffed over 2600 eggs this year which was up from 1800 from last year. We’ve got a giant-sized plush peep that’s in jail, and kids get a chance to sign up and they can win that to free him out of jail. We also will have two people from Masters Parlor, they’re gonna be face-painting the kids. And of course the Easter Bunny will be there as well to take photos.”
The egg hunt will be divided into three age brackets: 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12. Refreshments will also be provided. There is no cost for the event, and all are welcome to attend. With questions about the Community Easter Egg-stravaganza, call 319-385-7227.
