The Lone Tree Lions picked up another team win in track and field Tuesday, taking the Class B division at the Belle Plaine Girls’ Invitational Tuesday with 149 points. Lone Tree finished 38 points ahead of second-place Don Bosco despite having just one individual winner, as sophomore Rylee Shield claimed the 200-meter dash in 29.08 seconds. But the Lions did win three relay races, taking the 4-by-100-meters in just over 55 seconds; the 4-by-800 in almost 13 minutes and 51 seconds; and the 800 sprint medley in almost 2:02.

The Keota Eagles also took part in Class B and got a victory from junior Emily Sheetz, winning the 101 meters in 16.2 seconds. Keota also won the 4-by-100 weighted relay. Sigourney didn’t have a winner in Class A, but freshman Addison Yates was the runner-up in the 1,500 meters to help the Savages finish sixth in team scoring. While Sigourney is next at Lynnville-Sully on Tuesday, Lone Tree heads to WACO the same day. Keota is off until April 10th.
