On Friday, April 7, Louisa County Conservation will celebrate the beginning of the season with a Spring Break Open House at the Langwood Education Center.

From 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. families are invited to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the variety of activities for all ages. Guests can hike, catch frogs, fish, go bird watching and more. Families are also encouraged to check out the Wetland Interpretive Trail. Supplies will be provided for all activities, but those who prefer their fishing gear can bring their own. Children must fish with a licensed adult.

The Langwood Education Center is located on H Avenue in Wapello, with directional signs on Highway 61 and 92. For more information about the Spring Break Open House, contact Lana Artz-McComb at 319-523-8381 or email lmccomb@louisacountyia.gov.
