The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls soccer teams make their second road trip in 24 hours Friday when they travel to Dyersville for a matchup with the Beckman Blazers. The Golden Hawks completed a sweep of Cedar Valley Christian Thursday in Alburnett with the girls earning a 2-0 victory and the boys scoring a 5-1 win. The Golden Hawk girls are unbeaten at 4-0 after taking down the Huskies. The Hawks have outscored their opponents 16-2 this year. They are led individually by six goals from Sophia Baker and four assists for Kina Miller. Miller also leads the Hawks in goal with 23 saves. Dyersville-Beckman is 1-0 this year with a 9-2 win over Tipton Monday. This is the first all-time meeting between the programs.

The Mid-Prairie boys are 3-2, riding a three game winning streak, after topping the Huskies Thursday. Mid-Prairie has been outscored this year 18-13. Tucker Miller has a team best three goals and he along with Owen Trimpe, Noah Ford, Beau Flynn, Grady Miller and Jacob Flynn are all tied with one assist. Joe Hall has 17 saves in goal. Dyersville-Beckman is 3-0 this year with wins over Tipton, Cascade and Western Dubuque by a 13-1 total. Last time out the Blazers blanked the Tigers 4-0. They are currently ranked No. 8 in Class 1A according to the first poll of the year from the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association. Beckman is led by Jake Schmidt and Dylan Recker with four goals each. Matthew Florence and Luke Schieltz each have three assists, and in goal Hunter Douglas has made eight saves. These teams have not met since the 2014 State Tournament when the Hawks upset the then top ranked Blazers 2-0 in Des Moines.

Action between Mid-Prairie and Beckman starts tonight at 5p.m. and continues into the evening in Dyersville.
