The Washington Demon soccer teams were both able to earn bounce-back victories against Fairfield last night. The Washington boys struck for the game’s first and only goal in the 37th minute, when junior Manny Raymundo scored his 10th goal of the season on a feed from sophomore Kelver Lopez. Despite having to use three goalies, senior Dashaun Westphal-Edwards and juniors Will Gilchrist Brock and Omar Roman combined for a clean sheet for the Demons, who improve to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Southeast Conference.

The Washington girls also picked up a 3-0 victory at Fairfield yesterday, doing all their scoring in the first half. Along with also having a 2-1 conference record, the Demon ladies are 5-1 overall. Both Washington teams return to the pitch Monday to face Keokuk.
