The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team meets a pair of River Valley Conference foes tonight when they travel to West Branch for a triangular against the Wilton Beavers and the home Bears. The Hawks were a winner over Tipton in Kalona a week ago, firing the best team score in nine seasons with a 183, led by career-best rounds from Madi Davidson with a 38, Gabi Robertson with a 43 and Kylie Reinier at 49. Davidson and Robertson were medalist and medalist runner-up respectively. Other scores for the Hawks included Elliot Debler and Alexa Huber with 53s and Addison English 54. On the year, Mid-Prairie has a nine-hole team average of 197, led by Robertson at 45.

West Branch beat Durant last week 205-238 behind a card of 46 from Claire Jarrett. On the year, the Bears have a 205 average per nine holes with Jarrett’s 47 best on the team. The Hawks beat the Bears head-to-head on the road 202-209 April 3rd.

Wilton has been off since an April 3rd win over Durant 226-250 where Imogen Jirak led the way with a 50. On the season, the Beavers have a team average of 236 per nine holes, led by Jirak’s 53. Last season, Mid-Prairie beat Wilton head-to-head in Kalona 209-218. The triangular starts at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at Cedar’s Edge Golf Course in West Branch.
