The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls golf teams are back on the links tonight to meet the Wilton Beavers in a pair of River Valley Conference duals. The Mid-Prairie boys were last on the course Tuesday in Durant at the Wildcat Invitational, where they were fourth of eight schools with an 18-hole team score of 357. Drew Schlabaugh fired an 83 to finish fifth, and Warren Scarff went top 10, in 10th with an 87, both career best rounds. On the season, the Hawks have a 172 average per nine holes, led by Bryce Henry’s 42. Wilton was also at Durant Tuesday where they were sixth with a 378. On the season the Beavers have a 205 team average per nine, led by Rylan Teel’s 49. The Golden Hawks won this head-to-head contest last year 176 to 200.

The Golden Hawk girls last competed at Thursday’s Golden Hawk Invite where they finished fourth with an even 400 team score, behind Madi Davidson’s sixth place round of 96 and Alexa Huber’s 101 for 10th. On the year, Mid-Prairie has a team average of 199 per nine-holes led by Gabi Robertson’s 45. Wilton was also in Kalona Thursday where they placed seventh with a 478 team score with Ava Barnett shooting 111 for the top round. On the season, the Beavers have a 233 average per nine with Imogen Jirak’s 53 the best individual average. The Golden Hawks took down the Beavers last week at West Branch as part of a triangular 206-228. Action in both duals starts at 4p.m. with the boys on the road and girls in Kalona.
