In an all-KCII area matchup Tuesday in Riverside, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team took care of business with a 9-1 win over the home Highland Huskies. Mid-Prairie built a 7-0 halftime lead to run away with the victory. The Golden Hawks put 20 shots on goal and had 10 corner kicks while dominating possession. Six different Mid-Prairie players scored. The Hawks got two goals each from Tucker Miller and Owen Trimpe and one apiece from Sawyer Hough, Joe Hall, Noah Ford and Jacob Flynn. Miller, Trimpe and Beau Flynn each had one assist. Dylan Henry made a pair of saves. The Huskies first goal this season came from sophomore Angel Avendano.
Mid-Prairie is now 6-4 this season, Highland is 0-9. The Hawks host Maquoketa Friday in Wellman. Highland travels to Mediapolis tonight.
