The Columbus Wildcats picked up a hard-earned boys’ soccer victory Thursday night by defeating Tipton 2-1 in overtime. Columbus rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to tie the game up, and the Wildcats scored the golden goal in the first OT period to avoid a third straight loss. Columbus instead improves to 4-7. The Wildcat girls were not ass fortunate, falling behind 3-0 by the half and ultimately losing 5-0. Columbus falls to 2-7. While the boys faced WACO Friday night, the girls travel to Burlington Saturday for a doubleheader with Pella Christian and host Notre Dame.
