Washington County Master Gardeners will hold their annual fundraiser plant sale on Saturday, May 20, at the Washington County Fairgrounds from 8:00 – 11:00 am or until sold out. The plant sale will be held at the Round Red Barn, the historic Palmer Polygonal Barn. The plants are donated by the local Master Gardeners from their own gardens, which overflow from year to year with their many favorite plants. Proceeds from the sale are used for an annual horticulture student scholarship and non-profit garden projects, including maintaining the flowerbeds at the county fairgrounds. Master Gardeners will be available during the plant sale to answer your gardening questions. For more information about the plant sale or the Master Gardener program, contact Andy Miller at the Washington County Extension office at 319-653-4811.
