The Columbus Wildcats picked up a pair of home soccer victories Tuesday against Wapello. The Columbus boys scored five goals in each half to dispatch of Wapello. Three straight wins has the ‘Cats at 4-2 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference and 7-7 overall.

The Columbus girls turned a 1-0 halftime lead into a 4-0 victory. Wildcat junior Lecet Quiroz netted two goals and had one assist, while senior Isabelle Lagunas and freshman Ariana Navarro-Ayala each scored as well. Freshman Dahlia Valdez added two assists to help Columbus improve to 3-9. Both Wildcat teams next play later today at Central Lee.
