Individuals in southeast Iowa still have the opportunity to take advantage of the Lawyers in Libraries Program.
The one-hour presentations by lawyers focus on financial power, health care power of attorney, living wills, and the final disposition act. Each event is followed by question-and-answer sessions.
Following presentations at the Letts Public Library on Monday, opportunities are still available today 1 p.m. at the Winfield Public Library, tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Keck Memorial Library in Wapello, tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Washington Public Library, and Wednesday, May 31 at 2 p.m. at the Columbus Junction Public Library.
The Spring Lawyers in Libraries Program is a joint effort by Iowa State Bar Association, the State Library of Iowa, Iowa Legal Aid, and the Polk County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project. The goal of the program is to help provide free legal information to Iowans across the state.
