Last week, Washington County Sheriff Jared Schneider and his Iowa Law Enforcement Academy classmates participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Iowa Special Olympics. ILEA Basic Academy 309 and 310 were there to participate in The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, running two legs from the Iowa Department of Public Safety to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The annual Torch Run and its various fundraising projects have two goals: to raise money and to create awareness for the athletes participating in Special Olympics.
